Couples therapy is an important component of my psychotherapy practice.  I have been practicing couples therapy since 1997. I am a Certified IMAGO Therapist, as well as informed by John Gottman, Sue Johnson, and Stan Tatkin.  My overall theoretical influence includes attachment, interpersonal neurobiology of the couple, and learning to regulate oneself and the relationship, as well as learning practical, hands-on tools to increase communication and intimacy.

The work of couples therapy is to use all theories, tools, and resources available to educate, process, and learn what works best for the individual and the couple.  Learning to help regulate the process between the couple and create safe and secure bonds helps foster loving and enduring relationships.  We also will explore what works for the couple to communicate more safely and openly on issues they are exploring.
